Deo was the Valedictorian classmate of my late husband in high school. As fate would have it, the three of us met while we were students in Austria and Germany, my husband Dody in Germany in the early 1960s. After Deo was ordained a priest, he officiated at Dody’s and my wedding, baked the cake and provided me with a bouquet.
We never lost contact with one another. I would say that we had the strongest and longest friendship. Deo and I lost our life partners and we both maintained a beautiful friendship that sadly ended when he passed away. I can say that he had a beautiful soul - one that is uplifting and inspiring.
